Shoes are an important part of our clothing and our lifestyle. Some say you can get to know a person only looking at his footwear. Is that true? Maybe it is not as simple as that, but anyway shoes have their own language and symbolism. That kind of magic is the one the new exhibition of the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo tried to catch.
‘The amazing shoemaker’ brings together several artworks from different artists but with one objective in common: reflect the role shoes have played in myths and legends throughout history, as well as the very ‘fairy tale’ of Ferragamo’s life. Among other interesting features, visitors can watch some pictures by Arrigo Coppiz, listen to an exclusive score composed by Luis Bacalov and see some works designed by Mimmo Paladino.
The exhibition, which premiered last April 19th, will be open to the public until next March 31st 2014, so, as you can see, you are on time! The Museo is open from Wednesday to Monday, from 10 am to 6 pm and the entrance costs 5 Euros. As always, Il Salviatino, your 5 stars hotel in Florence, will be there for you to have you and make you feel in your own fairy tale.
